We have had services with Dex Media for one year. We were promised great services for our website and advertising.

It quickly turned into a nightmare when we asked for changes on our website. For two months we were told that the underwriters were working on the revisions. In the meantime, I asked for access to our website to make the revisions myself. I was granted access and made the very easy revisions (just grammar issues and updated e-mail addresses); we have never heard back from the underwriters that were supposedly working on it.

Our contract was up in June, 2017. We reached out in May to the only contact we had with Dex Media that was actually helpful and was told to wait until our sales representative contacted us; I was told he would handle the cancellation. A month later, our rep contacted us, we asked for cancellation, and never heard back from him. The following month we received an invoice from them.

I called upon receipt of the invoice to explain that we had requested termination of their services in May. I unfortunately did not have the original e-mail thread and was unable to produce it to them at the time. Our sales rep showed up in the office a few days later. We had a similar conversation we had had three months prior; instead of listening to my concerns and handling the situation, the man had the nerve to try to talk me into keeping one of the services Dex Media provided.

After his office visit, I followed up with him every few weeks via e-mail to confirm that our services were cancelled and our overdue balance taken care of. Now in October, we are receiving collection notices for our overdue invoice... I was just told for the first time today that the contract is auto-renewed unless you call to cancel. They have no way of tracking my original e-mails with our sales rep because he is no longer with the company and therefore they are not willing to credit our overdue balance.

Or so they think....

good luck dealing with this legal office Dex Media. Abosultely nobody should entrust their business with this company; absolutely fraudulent.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: Price reduction.

DexYP Cons: Entire experience.
